On Thursday, Nov. 21, Beaufort County officials joined PharMerica for a groundbreaking ceremony at Washington-Beaufort County Industrial Park. PharMerica is an institutional pharmacy services company. Express Care Pharmacy was founded in Washington in 2008 and acquired by PharMerica in 2016.
As a subsidiary of PharMerica, Express Care provides pharmacy services to assisted living facilities, group homes and similar entities throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
The new 20,000-square-foot distribution facility will give Express Care more room to grow and create more jobs here in Beaufort County. PharMerica officials hope to have the building finished in less than a year.
