For safety and security reasons, only clients receiving services will be allowed to go into the clinic area.

Children will be seen one at a time. Therefore, clients must bring someone of an appropriate age and maturity to help so their children will be supervised at all times.

Breast & Cervical Cancer Control Program

Cancer screenings are provided for low income women who do not have Medicare B or Medicaid and are 50 to 64 years of age and meet the financial criteria. Those admitted to clinic will receive a pap smear, breast exam and basic laboratory studies and will be referred for a mammogram.

Do you know the facts?

Every two minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer.

Breast Cancer is the leading cause of death in women between the ages of 40 and 55.

One woman in eight has or will develop breast cancer in her lifetime.

Seventy percent of all breast cancers are found through breast self-exams.

Eight out of ten breast lumps are not cancerous. If you find a lump, don't panic- call your doctor for an appointment.

Mammography is low-dose X-ray examination that can detect breast cancer up to two years before it is large enough to be felt.

When breast cancer is found early, the five-year survival rate is 96%.

EACH YEAR, 182,000 WOMEN ARE DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER AND 43,000 DIE.

If you haven't already, schedule a breast exam and mammogram. The life you save may be your own. Pass the word around to your loved ones, friends and acquaintances.
