Communicable Disease

Public Health Nurses and Environmental Health Specialists immediately investigate the occurrence of a communicable disease or condition.  Report Cards for 83 communicable diseases are sent to the Health Department as required by the North Carolina General Statutes.  Beaufort County Health Department provides follow up with contacts and the completion or appropriate epidemiology forms and surveillance.

For safety and security reasons, only clients receiving services will be allowed to go into the clinic area.  Children will be seen one at a time.  Therefore, clients must bring someone of an appropriate age and maturity to help so their children will be supervised at all times.
